A huge shout out to our M&J colleagues who braved the heatwave to conquer the Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend, climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours, all in an effort to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.
Paul Allman, Tim Mason, John Pritchard, David Witney, Joe McPartlan, Alice Roberts-Bowen, Kayleigh White, Ross James, Matt Jenkinson, Kieran Garlick, Martin Higgins, Patrick T., Michael Maguire, Callum Winn, Jamie Coyle, Darren Malone, Alberto Lopez, Matthew Shield, Charlotte Bailey and our drivers, Mark Goulding, Carl Young, Paddy Rudd, Gavin Lamb, Michael Davidson and Matt Smith.
The 18 members of staff from across the organisation started the ascent of Ben Nevis on Friday afternoon – they then moved South to take on Scafell Pike during the midnight hours – before finally reaching the top of Snowdon, the third and final peak on Saturday afternoon.
Group People Director, Judith Marriott, who also took part in the challenge, commented: “I’m so proud of this group and what they have achieved. What incredible and inspiring individuals. I think it was so much harder than we were expecting, especially with the weather conditions, but it was all in aid of such a fantastic cause. Mind is our partner charity at M&J and their work to fight towards better mental health for all is of such importance – and particularly relevant to the sector we work in.”
